Custom Jewelry

We are fortunate to be able to offer custom jewelry by Ryland Designs. Barbara Ryland Wells maintains her studio at Mageia, and designs one-of-a-kind wire wrapped jewelry using either your gems and minerals or something selected from her extensive stock in all price ranges. salotti memorial pendantSince starting Ryland Designs in 2007, Barbara has completed over 200 commissions for her clients and professional jewelers, mostly pendants but including earrings, bracelets, and rings.

Feel free to phone Barbara to discuss your interest in a commission. If you do not have a gem or mineral specimen you wish her to use, Barbara offers hundreds of choices among faceted gems, cabochons, and crystallized minerals such as copper and silver. Her inventory includes some of the most treasured materials used worldwide in fine jewelry.

Barbara tries to reserve enough time from her commissioned work to create pieces displayed at Mageia which may be purchased as a gift or for your personal use.  Each is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation just as with the commissioned designs. Her current availability is shown jewelry 003below; should one of these appeal to you, it may be reserved by phoning the shop.  It will be held for your next visit or shipped for your approval.  Precious metal chains are stocked for your convenience at little more than our cost when you have ordered a pendant.

You also are invited to examine, in this gallery, some of the cabochons available at Mageia for custom pendant designs by Barbara, or for outright purchase.  We are pleased to feature the lapidary artistry of James Michael Seeley, who uses the most exceptional materials, such as fire obsidian and lapis lazuli, and brings them to incomparable finish.  His cabs include both standard mount and free form designs.

Coming soon: In July 2015 Ryland Designs will be selling jewelry on Etsy as well as in-store and online at Mageia.
